ABOUT US

Hickamo Country Store was opened on June 30th, 2018 in Wheatland MO.  The name Hickamo  came from putting together Hickory County and Missouri.

Owners Chip & Suzanne Shaddox saw a need for a larger convenience store with a Café in Wheatland for quite a few years.  At the time, Chip & Suzanne had two other convenience stores around Pomme de Terre lake and thought Wheatland was a perfect place for a new store.

As it was opened in 2018, Hickamo became a local hot spot for local shoppers and those cruising by on Highway 54. Since its opening, Hickamo has grown to be a massive 19,000 square foot store offering a variety of options to its customers.. In addition to a full blown grocery store, Hickamo has a meat department, Café, convenience/truck stop, boutique, hardware, beer/liquor, gifts, and fishing tackle. With its newest addition of a feed store, Hickamo can now provide local farmers and customers with cattle, horse, sheep, hog, and chicken products.
